Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev won his first championship for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden title after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface from spring of the previous year.
Success also signifies Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my children at once, so to win a title is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, including in Halle previously this season.
His retrieving approach and frequent outbursts on court had led commentators to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and compete positively, reinforced by an better serve.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to create a decider.
The opponent rescued 4 initial break points in a tight third set before the champion secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured the title with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
